COP26 Debrief: Networking Session
Join the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources’ (SEER) Climate Change, Sustainable Development, and Ecosystems Committee for this free event.

This year's UN climate talks (COP26) in Glasgow have concluded, and the assessment of its outcomes is in full swing. Six years after striking the Paris Agreement, countries met to solidify their commitment to ratchet up their ambition to get the global economy in line with a 2-degree Celsius pathway (and, more ambitiously, a 1.5 degree target). The Parties also completed work on the rulebook for carbon markets under Article 6, agreed to phase down coal power and created a new dialogue around Loss and Damage. Outside of the negotiations, there were a number of notable government (and government/private sector) commitments, including to reduce methane emissions, accelerate the use of EVs, reduce deforestation and scale up private finance for Net Zero activities. Join us for an informal, interactive networking session that will provide a download from government, industry, non-governmental, and international-focused ABA members on COP26 outcomes.
